On April 18, 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced on its official website the 319 batches of new products of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Enterprises and Products Bulletin (hereinafter referred to as "New Vehicle Bulletin"), with a publicity period of 7 days, up to April 24. This declaration totals 350 new energy automobile products, including 53 new energy passenger cars, 155 new energy passenger cars and 142 new energy special vehicles. With the landing of the national financial subsidy policy in 2019, compared with the first three batches of new vehicles announced this year, the number of vehicles declared in this batch has increased significantly.

1. In terms of battery technology, lithium iron phosphate dominates the field of buses and special vehicles by 70%.

According to the technical route of power battery, there are 252 models carrying lithium iron phosphate batteries, accounting for 72%; 60 models carrying ternary batteries, accounting for 17%; 16 models carrying lithium manganate batteries, accounting for 5%; 14 models carrying undisclosed types of lithium batteries, accounting for 4%; 8 models carrying fuel cells, accounting for 2%. Among them, ternary batteries have obvious advantages in the field of passenger cars, while lithium iron phosphate batteries occupy a dominant position in the field of buses and special vehicles.

2. In terms of supporting battery enterprises, Ningde Times/Guoxuan/Yiwei lithium energy ranks the top three

From the point of view of battery suppliers, there are nearly 50 battery companies supporting 350 new energy vehicles in the new vehicle announcement. Among them, Ningde Age, Guoxuan Gaoke, Yiwei lithium energy, Lishen, BYD, micro-macro power and other ancillary models are more than 10.

In addition, it is worth noting that three new faces emerged in the new vehicle announcement supporting battery enterprises, namely Ningde Yicon Power System Co., Ltd., Ruipu Energy Co., Ltd., and Henan Pingmei Guoneng Lithium Electricity Co., Ltd.

Data show that Ningde Yizheng Power is a new energy power system research and development company led by SAIC, which was established in June 2016. This time, it provides three-way battery support for two Rongwei brand pure electric cars of SAIC Group.

Ruipu Energy Co., Ltd. was established in October 2017. At present, Ruipu Energy 3GWh power battery production line has been officially put into operation. The second phase covers 231 Mu and adds 5 GWh power battery capacity, which is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2020. This time, lithium iron phosphate batteries are provided for one Shenlong brand pure electric bus of Shanghai Shenlong Bus and two products of China Zhongcha Group of China Zhongcha brand pure electric bus.

Henan Pingmei Guoneng Lithium Electricity Co., Ltd. was founded on September 22, 2017. It is jointly invested by China Pingmei Shenma Group, Beijing Guoneng Battery Technology Co., Ltd. and Henan Battery Research Institute (formerly Xinxiang Battery Research Institute). This time, it provides lithium iron phosphate batteries for two Kaiwo brand pure electric van transporters of Nanjing Jinlong Bus.
